My point

Hi Everyone, What a great day a good day to put the top down and go for a ride and let the ears flap in the wind. We took a long ride to Westley Chapel to go to Red Robin (yum)to have lunch with Cousins Peggy and Denny. The ride over there was great wind blowing through my fur ,it is so freeing the warm sun turning my graying fur to silver and making me feel like a young pup again. With people all around rushing through their day not paying to that pretty puffy cloud floating by or the shape of a palm tree gently dancing in the soft breeze. I guess the point I'm making is stay away from all of the drama that people can throw into your life, don't sweat the taxes you may owe this tax season ,and enjoy all things that many of us just take for grant everyday.I hope everyone has a great night    

That darn cat

Hi everyone,Today I am sitting at home trying to watch the Daytona 500 and that darn Midge cat took the remote to the TV to put some other show on and she will not let anyone near it. Sometimes she can be so selfish and I really don't want to watch Birds of prey, She will not even share her glass of lemonade. Well at least it a rain delay at Daytona and she starting to fall asleep so I can get the remote back that is if I don't fall asleep myself and Tootie does not get the remote and turn on cartoon network. so everyone can see how my days going. I hope the race starts soon and we can get to enjoy some pizza. Every one have a great day

Hi everyone

What a week it has been,The stress on my daddy is really high he has been dealing with alot of stuff the week, from people he tried to help that in the end didn't care about any one but them self's and didn't pay their bill to him and they broke thing on propose I don't under stand people like that. He also had to deal with trying to get out car fixed and tring to figure out a way to get a new car after the old lady hit the car, He is also tring to get the RV ready for our next adventure. So what a surprise to us this morning when he woke up this morning and said we were going for a hike in the woods. It was a nice morning perfect for hiking a nice cool breeze blowing though my fur and the smell of the spring in the air. We set out on a trail the twisted through the thick under brush. The stiff breeze made the 


palm tree sound as if they were chatting. We stopped along the way to jump up on a log or two to try to make sure we did not miss anything. We then made our way down the trail further and came to a nice stream, the soft sound of the water flowing made you feel at peace. We sat there for awhile just soaking in all that surrounded us. It is so nice seeing dad just relax for a few minutes and enjoy. We then had to head back home to deal with  a few thing and try to have a

relaxing day. I hope everyone takes time to get

Spring is in the air

 

Another sunny day here in Florida . You can just smell the spring in the air so I put on my sunglasses went out in the yard to see all of the spring flowers blooming in the yard. As I walked into the back yard you could smell the citrus ahhh what a pretty smell. As I moved over by the pool I noticed from a distance a sea of yellow with humming birds flying all around the Confederate Jasmine The sweet smell filled the air all in the area by the pool.I stopped by the pool stuck my paw in to see where the temperture was at, In a few week I should be swimming. At this point my nose was at overload and my eyes were wide open with all the beauty. I moved around to the side yard to see the cocktail citus tree also in full bloom with more seducing smells .  This is the time of the year I love the most, so full of life. 

 

Nice People

As I sat here wondering what to write about, the warm sunny day or the long walk in the park, It dawned on me I wanted to tell everyone about some nice person we met 5 weeks ago  It was a nice volunteer police officer. This nice man was one of the first people Tootie was not afraid of teaching her not all people are bad, Just last week when dad was in his car accident these nice officers just happened to be the ones to show up. This morning we ended up seeing them again and they took time to turn around and say hi.You know if there were more people to just stop and say hi or how are you doing the world would be a better place.

Sunning

Hi Everyone, Today was a very busy day. We woke up early and quickly got busy. We started in the bedroom cleaning out dads closet and the moved on to the rest of the house. Around mid day we took a break Tootie and I were so tired we went out in the nice fresh air to take a nap and catch a few of the suns rays, oh how I love taking a nap on these near perfect days and with the temperatures going up it will soon be pool time. I heard dad tell someone on the phone we were going for a long hike, so I better go rest up and get ready.

A day at The Spa

Today has been a great day for me, We got to sleep in a little and after we got up had some toast for breakfast and it was off to the park for a walk. It was a little humid when we got to the park but I soon got past that. As we walked I started to concentrate on the sound around the park, the Cardinal singing her song, the children hard at play laughing and yelling with joy, the old crow squawking warning others that we were passing by. These sounds help take you to a calming place and we needed it, I loved watching the stress melt away over powered by the sights and sounds of nature. After that it was time for a bath. Oh how I love  a bath I get to play in the water and I feel so good and look pretty. I guess I understand the saying calgon take me away. We then got out our bones and chewed for a while and now I think it is time for a nap. I am soooooo relaxed. Have a great day

I sit here tonight watching my dad he seems so stressed. The other day our car got hit by a little old lady and he is so worried. He has worked very hard to try to pay it off early and take good care of it so it will last us.But in the middle of all of the stress I heard him say it was time to stop and smell the roses so I decided to put a link to his favorite song. Shhhh Dads and Tootie are sleeping I got up a little early to work on my video from Hell's bay. I have a good bit more work to do on it before my world premiere. Every time I work on it I go back to how much fun it was in the everglades, I can not wait till we can go back with Tootie and show her all that beauty. In a few weeks we head to Georgia this will be Tooties first time out of the state. I cant wait to explore the great state of Georgia. I have heard that there is red dirt, really red dirt. I wonder if it smells or taste any different? Does it change the color of the grass? well I guess I will just have to wait and see. I better get back to work on this project. everyone have a good night 

Looking for Cupid

Happy Valentines Day Every one today we went on a walk to look for cupid, I guesses I needed to find out what is behind the meaning of  Valentine day. Is it about the candy, cards and gifts or is there more?So I set out on a journey to find the answers we hiked through the wood searching up in the trees under the bushes trying to find cupid to ask him what is this all about. After looking everywhere and not finding him we came home and I decide to ponder it to see if there was an answer Just then it hit me Cupid live in all of us, its our heart,It the love we share with others. We choose through out the years to let him out. Valentines Day is a day to celebrate the love we have had in our lives both present and past.  I am one lucky puppy I have had a ton of love My Dads and Tootie and even Midge cat love me.I have a bunch of Friends that show me love all through the year. It doesn't take a box of candy or even a gift. Just be kind to people and your inner cupid will come out. Happy Valentines Day everyone and let your cupid run free today.                                                   

Brrrrrrr

Brr its cold out today so we decided to stay inside and cuddle on the couch and sleep the day away. Its nice to have a lazy day every now and then. You can lay back close your eyes and dream about places you have been that were interesting. A great example of this would be Rayne La., We went there a few years ago to go to a RV rally. It was an interesting city. Every place you would look there was statue of frogs, they were everywhere.But the part of the trip that touched us the most was when we took a ride all the way to Texas along the back roads  and we got to see the devastation that Hurricane Katrina caused to that area. I would have never imagined seeing what use to be a city completely gone or a house that we seen without damage in the middle of a lake. Mother nature can be harsh. But in that mess you could see people helping each other rebuilding making it a better place. The lesson I learned is always try to do the right thing and help others and respect mother nature. Good night everyone

cold day

Hi Everyone Today was one of those lazy days that we all need every now and then. We sat around most of the day and got a real treat at dinner, Chicken yummy. Its getting really cold out so we got our blanket out and cuddled on the couch. We are still looking for our friend from next door Malcolm kitty, He went missing a few days ago and we are still holding out hope he is ok. We know his mommy is really worried about him.We want everyone if they would please take a moment and say a short prayer for Malcolm.Its time to go to bed and get warm good night

Pondering

I sit here tonight pondering what is out there to investigate. In this great big world there is so much to see and do. From coast to coast, Mountain to the deserts sands. Rivers to paddle and trails to hike. The beauty among us is is endless, But what make the world fun is the people you share it with, that's what make a trip an adventure. I look forward to the next adventure with my new best friend Tootie.

 Hi Everyone, We went for a hike today and as our walk started we had seen a deer leaped from the woods,I was shocked, if I put my paw out I could have touched it. We continued down the fire road and I came up to a strangely bent tree so I decide to climb it, I felt like the king of the world up there. Now I know what a Great Dane feels like After I got done goofing off we continued down the path that wove its way through the marsh lands of the the park. The beauty of the cypress still amazes me, I noticed it was staring to green  back   up. It was a very hard walk and my paws are tired tonight. On the fire roads it is very loose sand. We turned off the road and took a path with a lot of thick brush that lead us up to the bike path, boy was I  glad to be out of the loose sand .It was a very long walk but well worth it. I really enjoy these day out in the park hearing the birds sing and the wind wrestling the leaves on the trees is peaceful and relaxing. Everyone have a good night, I have to go soak my paws.

A trip to the Dr's

Today we went to Animal Hospital of Regency Park to see Dr. Canfield and the Stephanie and Jenna. When we go there they make me feel special. When I had my cancer surgery they all fussed over me and made me feel alot better, I knew I was safe with them . We went back for our check ups, They had to see if I had any more lumps and they found a small one, so they did a biopsy to see if it was more cancer, boy was I scared  and lucky for me it was not. Next it was Tootie turn to get her skin rechecked to see how it was healing , she is doing pretty well though she may need more medication and that we still have to have a bath 2 times a week. Oh well we have to get her all better and I guesses it will be fine with having all those baths. Since moving to Florida we have I have seen a few vets, But none that I have liked better, knowing that if I ever get sick all we have to do is call and they take really good care of us , they really care . I think I would also like to say if you ever see a lump on one of your pets please make sure you take them and have it biopsyed to make sure it not cancer. Thank Dr Canfield for saving me........ A look at time

Hi Everyone
Today we went for a long hike through the park on a new trail we have never seen before. The day started out it was misting a little but we decided to go any ways and boy am I glad we did. The trail started in thick palmetto palms barely wide enough to walk through and wound its way deep in the wood, It was mysterious and it drew you in deeper and deeper and you could not seem to resist its beauty. With every twist and turn we would take there was somethings even more beautiful the the last. The woods started to thin out a little and a long bridge appeared.  We stopped to view all of the plants in the marsh area and then continued along this  mystical path. The trail continued  to wind its way through the different plants and just ahead appeared this huge oak tree I have never seen  a tree a big and round as this oak was, I bet this tree was here when dinosaurs roamed the earth. I only wish it could talk to tell us its history and all that it has been through and how it received its many scares. After exploring the tree we made our way along the trail and it ended up coming out at a small stream. It was so pretty and calming to hear the water flowing. After sitting there reflecting a little we got up and finished our trail.I am one lucky dog to be taken out on all these adventures to see all of the beauty that is out there,and to have a little sister to enjoy it with me. Today mark the first month of many years to come with Tootie and I'm glad we had such a magical hike to celebrate it   

Our first month with Tootie

On Tuesday it will be our 1 month anniversary of Tootie coming to live in her forever home with us. What a difference she has gone from being a afraid little puppy to being a diva dog. She loves to play with me and share my adventures. I have noticed she has a very special gift with special needs children,She is gentle and caring, and they seem to love her too. Yesterday we were on our walk and a young lady with Down Syndrome was walking with her mom Tootie could not wait to go up and see her. The girl bent down and Tootie climbed on her lap and gave her a bunch of love. One of the thing that amazes me is the compassion that this little dog has, After the lack of compassion that was shown to her at the beginning of her life. She has been a great asset to our home and I love having a little sister, well sometimes. It nice to know that as I teach her thing she is also teaching me. I think we all could learn compassion and forgiveness from Tootie and it would make the world a better place.

Hi, well today has been interesting, We started off with going for a ride to return my blue collar for a bigger size, guess I had better lay off the cookies. When we were at the pet store my dad ask if they had a harness that would stop me from pulling, Well... if they would just walk faster I would not pull,there is only so much time in a day to explore. Well back to the harness, They did not have one so I was safe or so I thought. We came home and the mail came and there was a package for Tootie, it was her collar with her name in diamonds, do you believe that what a Diva Dog. how spoiled is that? Dad then picked up his keys and got our leashes and said we were going for another ride, But where are we going? We got in the car and was driving down the road then it appeared the Petco sign I knew I was in trouble it that harness thing again. And right I was we went into the store and the sales man fitted me with that awful harness and showed dad how great I walked with it  I had to sit down and voice my opinion on this whole matter, Did not work, he got the harness. He then walks to my favorite part of the store, the cookie isle and we got my favorite cookies. Next I got a huge surprise a HUGE dog bone all for myself . Oh no I just realized something I'm spoiled too, Huge dog bones, cookies and all this attention. I was complaining about Tootie when here I'm spoiled too and I have been all  my life and she is just now learning what its like to be spoiled for the first time in her life. As for that harness thing  I do need to slow down and enjoy life and smell a rose or two along the way.

 
 

Busy Day

Wow what a busy day, We got up really early and Dad said we needed to recycle a few things, hmm whats recycling, so I looked it up so now I understand. First we took our old couch to the Hospice thrift store, Dad told us they resell the stuff  to help pay for stuff for sick people. That great we can give them stuff we don't need any more and help people. Next we went to the dump to take all of our paint cans we had around.But why not just throw them out? Well if they get buried in the ground they can leak and get into our water , yuck I don't want that in our water . So we made sure they are where the nice people can get rid of them the right way. After that we got to go to the pet store and got a new toy. Then it was home for a bath and play time. Wow what a day, but it feels good to do stuff to take care of where we live after all we use it. Well now its nap time Good night everyone

Stop and smell the roses

Hello everyone, Today we went on a hike through the wood and discovered this neat Cypress Swamp. This was a trail that was hard and very narrow but boy was it worth it. The reflection of the trees and the haze over the water was like we stepped into a magical world. We continued along the trail and found a spot where the wild boar had been rooting in the mud, well that was all I had to hear and I was ready to move on. I really do not want to be eaten by Miss Piggy. Those thing are just mean , just like Miss Piggy. So we moved along the path and back to the main part of the park where we ran into a few of our friends and made a  new friend. What a long day and after all that we came home and I pigged out, sorry I had to say that. I guesses looking back on the whole day we could have taken the easier trail but then we would have missed all the beauty. 

Lazy Day

What a pretty day,  82 out today and very very sunny. When I got up this morning I decide that I was going lay out in the sun and work on my tan. I went outside found a nice sunny spot to lay out and was also able to watch my daddy clean the shed, he worked so hard it made me tired so I had to go and take a nap on the couch.I do love a lazy day
