the get away plan

Hi Everyone, Today was bath day and Tootie and midge came up with a plan to escape and it could have worked but there was just a few problems. The plan was that Tootie would get dads keys to his new Toyota and then she would work the brakes and Midge would steer the car, sounds like a great plan but they could not figure out how to get it out of park and they ended up getting caught. If the would have ask I may have told them for a fee. Plus they were arguing over what CD to put in, Who let the dogs out or Cat scratch fever. Never try a plan like this with a cat they all have control issues
As you can see from the picture below Midge ended up going first and I had fun laughing at her. Its only a bath what the big deal. The whole time she cries and complains. I love the fact that I have such pretty fur after and on top of that we get a treat.Well i hope every has a great day

We won

Well Friday was great fun at the event and we ended up winning a big basket of toys and treats. We ended up seeing a lot and doing a lot that night, we got to eat hot dogs and Tootie and me got our pictures taken together. when I teach myself how to use the scanner I will post that picture. We also got to see a lot of our other four legged friends. Knowing there was big storms on the way we left early, Right after we got home dads phone rang and that's when learned we had won our prize so back we went. we are really enjoying our treats and toys  

that we won. But lets not forget what the night was about. Its about helping others both four legged and two. I hope everyone has a great night.   

ready to go

Well I am all ready for my big night out I am so excited about going to The Dog day of summer , It is a fundraiser benefiting cindy's pet and therapy dogs. There is going to be food a live band and rescue groups and so much more.I heard dad talking about getting us the training to become therapy dogs and nothing would make me happier if that would happen. Chelesa Dads chow and my good friend did therapy with sick kid and even though it was hard they loved it and I know Chelesa would be watching down on us proudly. Tootie has a little of training to do to first. It about time to finish gettig ready to go I will post more pictures later .I hope everyone has a great night

 Had a great day playing in the pool. Jumping in to get the toys Tootie joined in on the fun, She is starting to get use to the pool and I think even having fun . The water was about 82 just right. The sun made the pools water shimmer like diamonds. The Queen palms casting their shadows over the water ,dancing gracefully over the water in the gentle breeze Just to take time and enjoy the company of the ones I love is one of those priceless memories that I love.I know we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow we get to go out to an event to raise money for therapy dogs. I am really looking forward to that. well that was my day I hope you also had a great day too. 

next trip

We started to plan dads birthday adventure and do we have some fun planned for him, cant really say what it is yet but he will never forget this year's birthday. I have still been working on the video from the everglades and it is coming out great I cant wait to show it in a week or so. Today we took it kind of easy after we went for a very long walk yesterday,  however we did get a bath. Dad spent most of his day working on the motor home's bearings so it will be ready to go. Well I better go help dad pick up all of the tools its getting late good night

Friday the 13th

e Ok I must admit that I was a little afraid of Friday the 13th. After telling Tootie about the  curse of the day she got very afraid and spent the whole day hiding in back of me, But that's ok I knew she had my back covered just like a good friend should. The day turned out great, Dad finally got to see the magazine article Better Rving did on our RV, and boy am I proud, all of the hard work we put into it really paid off. We are off to kayak in the morning so off to rest up  Good night

test

Today was a great day to lay around and watch paint dry, and that is what I did. Dad had to stain the wood decks and other wood structures in the back yard around the pool so Tootie and I decided to test the theory to see if you could really watch paint dry. So we both got picked a spot and started to watch, next thing I know I was waking from a good long nap.I looked up and Tootie was waking too.So  that proves you can not watch  paint dry, oh well we tried

trusting

As I was working in the yard today picking the dead flowers off the plants I looked down and seen Tootie Laying on the lounge so peacefully, and I thought to myself why do people do the things they do, like lie and use people and animals. Just because people and animals are nice and trusting it does not give them a right to use them and lie and hurt them. The damage  they do is unforgivable. I have seen first hand that after trust is lost it is one of the hardest things to win back. Dad just noticed that one of his friends lied to him and the pain that I had seen in his eyes hurt me deeply. I hope that one day people stop hurting others, and take the unconditional love they are offered by others.   

Away we go

I just thought I would let  everyone see what I look like when I jump in the pool. This picture was taken years ago with the first pool we had. I was so nervous and at first did not want to go, but I thought to myself I will never get to enjoy life if I let my fears rule my life. so I just jumped and what a rush it was. The cool water rushed over my fur and made me feel so alive. Dad then taught me how to climb out using the ladder so I would always be safe. Currently I am trying to teach Tootie the same the same thing ,But with her it is taking more time, she still has a little problem trusting people.In a way I think that's why her and my Dads bond is so tight, He recently trusted people and they hurt him , So now he is a little Leary to trust people himself. I have seen first hand the damage people can do and think to myself why? We are taught to take people at their word and always do thing with a pure heart.When you take a risk in life sometimes it hurts but without risk taking your not living.    

Hoppy Easter

Hoppy Easter everyone, I am so excited tomorrow is Easter and the Easter bunny will be coming to see us. I hope he brings us some big doggie bones!Then our friend Vick is coming down for a huge dinner.Tonight we got to go on a long walk in the park to try to find the Easter bunny but no luck.The sun washed over the damage the winter had done to reveal the new life of spring. The kids were playing and laughing while a runner and her four legged friend ran past. This is Tootie's first Easter   

with us and I needed to explain to her not to chase the Easter bunny around when he comes here. well time to go and color eggs every one have a great Easter.

waving my wand

Well I did it  kind of, After reading about Harry Potter I thought I could go by Butchie Pupper and found a stick to be my wand. I thought I would practice trying to ban the evil cat known as Midge. She always pushes us around and slap us. So I waved my wand and barked some spells and poof the cat had bunny ears, wow am I getting good. I guess that will teach her to to mess with the gifted one. So feeling great we went swimming. The water was so warm and felt great on my fur. The    

soft breeze blew the palm trees around and the smell of spring fills the air. I got to play for 1 hour the pool is over 83 just right. after that we lounged around the pool to work on our tan. When we went inside I noticed the cats bunny ears were gone, and then I spotted them on the table. hmm Have I been tricked or did she work her dark magic again. We will just have to keep an eye on her.I hope everyone has a great night. 

Muggles

I was sitting here today and I found my dads nook reader,So I did what any nosey dog would do I looked to see what dad was reading. So I flipped through all of the books on there and I found Harry Potter on there. I sat back in the chair and started to read the book I wanted to see what everyone has been talking about. Wow what a surprise I read almost the whole book, It a lot of fun. I wonder if I'm like Harry and have hidden powers, I know I can make my food disappear. I have even tried to make the cat disappear but no luck there.Oh well I better get ready for bed I hope everyone has magical dreams tonight I know I will Good night  

A day off

Hi everyone, as we woke up this morning we realized we needed to live what we preach so we decided to take the day off  and smell the roses. So we slowly climbed out of bed and took a few extra minutes to come to life to realize that we were sore from all of the past days work. Then we decided it was a play day so we lounged around the pool listening to soft music in the background long enough to get good and relaxed and a great tan , then it was bath time, oh how I love a good bath.What a great day but there was more dad got Tootie and me a Wendy's hamburger and it was great, what a treat. But wait the day was not over we got to go for a walk in the park. It was a very pretty spring evening, the locus singing a soft spring song and the tortoise hustled to get to his home for the night . After all the hard work for the past few days it sure was nice to stop and smell the roses......Good Night

Rose Garden

Hi everyone, We are still working on putting down those 75 bags of mulch.Yesterday in between the rain we finished the front yard, weeded,put the mulch down and raked the leafs . Tootie started out the day strong, weeding the side of the driveway before I even got moving. We then moved over to the side of the house, What a mess a lot of plants that needed replaced, so I stated we needed a rose garden, that way when we get come in and out of the door we can stop and smell the roses.We now have a rainbow of roses planted over there.The sweet smell of all those roses fells the air and cant help  but make you smile. As you can see in the picture Midge was also out there being bossy telling us how to do everything, You think she could do something like pull a weed or two but no she does not want to get her paws dirty. After the nascar race we are going back outside to finish the mulch on the side where the roses are now and clean up the driveway. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of  your day
